Oostvaardersplassen
About 35 minutes drive from De Haegehorst are the Oostvaardersplassen in Flevoland. In 1968, the Flevopolder was drained, but the wet part, which is now the Oostvaardersplassen, remained unused. This created a marshy area with pools and reed beds surrounded by woods. Spot various beautiful birds and other animals such as roe deer, foxes and hares. Bring your binoculars!
Tip: Start your voyage of discovery at Buitencentrum Oostvaardersplassen and enjoy the beautiful view from the terrace.
